Community Driven Innovation: Challenges and opportunities of participatory policy design

How can agencies visualize data to inform design decisions? During my fellowship at the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), I developed and built out a data visualization and community engagement tool that was presented at NYC Open Data 2021 with the NYCCTO. We discussed strategies on how to collect and structure community feedback, how agencies can visualize data to inform design decisions, and how to identify opportunities for innovation.
